OK, here's where I do my impression of a Blue Peter presenter unveiling the appeal totaliser!

WOW! Hey guys, we did it. In just about 6 days, we you have raised a massive $3000. So, on the seventh day, you can have a nice cup of tea and a sit down. But no resting on our laurels for too long. We still need to plug the site and get people to donate to Tipitina's Foundation. Caz should have altered the links so that instead of going to the paypal site, they send you directly to the Studio 60 page that Tipitina's have set up. All funds that go through there will be shown as coming from S60's amazingly awesome fans. Isn't that better than sending nuts?

Thank you all again, and a SUPER HUGE thanks to the person who sent in an enormous donation earlier this evening.  I was planning on a quiet evening updating my software until we hit the target.  Since then, apart from much running around and flailing, the gang have been busy updating sites and emailing each other about what happens next. I'd far rather spend it like this.

Keep checking back for updates on what is happening with the advert and keep pimping where you can.
We are getting publicity on all kinds of blogs and sites now, but the more people who know about Tipitina's, the better.

Art is getting its ass kicked. Help NOLA to revive its musical culture.

*still doing stupid Josh-style victory dance and sending out for muffins and bagels*!!

As Caz says, muffins & bagels are the order of the day. It's a pity they aren't currently being featured on Nice Cup of Tea ;-)

So, should I be referring to you ladies collectively as 'da women' from now on? *g*

Shall I find you a river to forge? Or perhaps a serpent to slay?

Rivers and serpents hold no fear for me. I have taught Star 14 students. But please don't send me back into the briefing room.

Not hardly...I'd be shocked if it were any other way. :D

Thanks ladies. I'm honored. :)

We're equal opportunity fangirls here. We don't need the ERA, just the 14th amendment! Anyway, it's against the law to discriminate for just about anything these days.

YAY!! You guys did such a fantastic job! Thanks so much for all of your hard work, and thanks to everyone who donated and helped to spread the word!!

I'm so proud guys! Great job! Now let's get it in gear for Tipitina's. Instruments are expensive and I'm sure some of it goes to buy them. If my parents wouldn't strangle me, I'd have sent my violin from school since I haven't played it in awhile and someone could probably get more use out of it. Considering how much they paid for it and the sentimental attachment, I'm pretty sure bodily harm would be committed upon me if I did that though. Gonna have to donate cash instead.

Congratulations you guys! You totally rock. Art may have gotten its ass kicked but you at least managed to slap Commerce in the face a couple of times.

Seriously awesome that a not that big a fan base are able to gather over $3000. At the same time supporting the Tipitina foundation I think it's great.

However -- for those who live abroad, do you think it's possible to make an actual scan of the paper when it's being released? Anyone checked on the copyrights of such? Would be quite nice to be able to see it :)

Thanks.

Well done All - now, lets see if we can't get to the original target of $5000 so that Tipitina's REALLY gets a boost!
Au Res.,
Paul (donuts for all!)

Without sounding like a total block of cheddar, I really would like to say how proud I am to be a fan of Studio 60 and how massively proud I am to be part of this, It’s really shown how great we all are as a group lol. I have been pimping my ass off for you guys on Facebook, and also on my Matthew Perry website, so hopefully SOMETHING came out of those =)
I’m off to donate to the charity now… GO US =)

Any idea how all us Brits and fellow foreigners can get a copy of the Hollywood Reporter?
